Miratlas to introduce the DNDIMM at ICSO 2026

Miratlas will attend ICSO 2026 in Sorrento, Italy, from October 12–16 to introduce the DNDIMM, our new instrument designed to measure atmospheric turbulence continuously, day and night.

A new step toward continuous turbulence monitoring

A few months ago, Miratlas introduced an approach to around-the-clock atmospheric turbulence measurement by pairing the SHABAR daytime profiler with the C-DIMM nighttime monitor.

The DNDIMM takes this work a step further, bringing daytime and nighttime turbulence measurement into a single instrument. At ICSO 2026, we will present its design and first results to the space optics community.

Discover our latest research

Join our team at the poster session on Monday, October 12, at 3:20 p.m.:

  • Frédéric Jabet will present the DNDIMM’s design and first results, alongside the latest C-DIMM validation results.

  • Marin Fouchier will compare daytime turbulence measurements from the SHABAR profiler and the SSM solar scintillometer.

These presentations will explore how atmospheric measurements can support site assessment for optical ground stations.
