01 Our story

From an unsolved problem to a world reference

Atmospheric laser links were failing for want of measurement. Miratlas was founded to fix that, and grew by selling Sky Monitors and their data to the most demanding organisations.

    Founding

    Jean-Edouard Communal and Frédéric Jabet create Miratlas to respond to the unsolved problem of atmospheric laser communication.

    Growth through the Sky Monitor

    The company develops rapidly through the sale of its Sky Monitor and of data from sites around the world, Australia, Greece, Germany, Spain and more, to renowned organisations, becoming a reference in atmospheric turbulence measurement.

    €2M funding round

    Miratlas raises two million euros with Karista (Cosmicapital) and Région Sud Investissement (Geodesic) to accelerate its development and position itself as the world leader in the collection, processing and forecasting of optical atmospheric data.
